Welcome! Please register here for the Path to Stewardship Camp (AKA workday leader training) to be held May 19-20 at Camp Reinberg.

Volunteer habitat restoration is an essential part of keeping Cook County ecosystems healthy. This is your chance to gain the adequate training and certifications necessary to help lead volunteer restoration days and improve the biodiversity of the Cook County Forest Preserves' 70,000 acres.

All camp activities are optional. We welcome you to tailor this expereince to your needs and interests! You are not required to camp overnight, but it sure will be fun! In addition to classes, outdoor activities like nighttime hikes will be offered, as well as social time around the campfire with fellow nature lovers.

The camp is free to attend for stewardship volunteers, but we ask that if you discover you cannot make it to the camp, let us know as soon as possible so we may free up your spot for another camper.

Group bunk cabins are available. Campers may also bring tents if they prefer. Camping is not required.

Check in starts Saturday, 5/19 at 8:15am. Meals will be provided to all campers on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, this includes coffee, tea, and breakfast snacks, lunch, and dinner. On Sunday, we will offer breakfast, coffee, and tea, and lunch snacks. Official check in starts 30 minutes before each class start time.

Please contact dsuarez@audubon.org and/or Raquel.Garcia-Alvarez@cookcountyil.gov with questions.
